SANTA FE COLLECTION PROGRAM
October 18, 2008
10:00-11:30 am
Dr. Ann Lane Hedlund, Director of the Gloria F. Ross Center for Tapestry Studies, located at the Arizona State Museum, will present a lecture followed by a weaving demonstration by Ella Rose Perry.  Perry adopted the local style of plant-dyeing and weaving when she took a job at a community school in Crystal, New Mexico, in 1960. Since then she’s never stopped weaving her trademark pastel rugs with their soft, slightly hairy texture. She often has a list of clients waiting for her special rugs.

Free for PPHM Mebers and $10 for non members. RSVP by October 15 to (806) 651-2258 or ecunningham@pphm.wtamu.edu

LLANO CEMETERY BY TWILIGHT TOUR
October 25
4:00-7:00 pm

Bring your friends and learn more about the people who rest in the oldest section of the Llano Cemetery.  Cost is $5 per person; children under 3 years of age are free.  Admission is paid upon arrival to the 34th Avenue entrance of Llano Cemetery.  No reservations are required.  For more information, call (806)651-2233 or email adavid@pphm.wtamu.edu.
Weather permitting.
