LLANO CEMETERY BY TWILIGHT TOUR
October 25
Learn all about this and more as you tour the oldest section of Llano Cemetery and hear stories of past people and places, as told by Curator of History, Dr. Bill Green and friends. Plan to spend an evening at Llano Cemetery with PPHM and history.
From the early head stone of Mrs. Lillian F. Morrow (1864-1888), the cemetery’s first burial, to the fanciful Woodmen of the World tree trunk markers, elaborate “gypsy” graves, or the imposing family mausoleums, history is found at each marker. Whether it is the individual details of each life, or the traditional burial symbols carved into the stones, much can be learned about the history of a community and its individuals by visiting Llano Cemetery.
