 Fun is always on the agenda with programs that connect families through projects, trips, and events. Being the largest history museum in Texas, PPHM can offer a large variety of subjects that interest all family members. In December, the annual Christmas Open House, with the museum decorated inside and out for the holidays, is a perfect family outing. Actors recreate the past in period clothing, and carolers’ songs echo throughout the galleries. In the summer, with the beauty of Palo Duro Canyon as a backyard to play in, families enjoy events that engage the mind with local lore and scenic sights.
