“The auxiliary serves to open the doors of our museum to visitors, both local people who wish to know their own history and those who travel from around the world to learn about our heritage.  We must carry on the tradition which began over a quarter century ago of sharing the useful and ornamental treasures of our Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum with others.  Let’s open the doors wide!”

Started to promote and advance the welfare of PPHM and the people it serves, the auxiliary accomplishes its mission by interpreting the museum to the public and assisting the staff in realizing the goals of the institution.

Membership is open to all who are interested in PPHM, and pay annual dues to the auxiliary.  Members can hold elected office or serve on committees, but most volunteer their time to give school tours or aid museum staff in caring for the collection.
