After graduating from Amarillo High School, Emily received her BA in Art History with a minor in Museum Studies from Baylor University. She then moved to London, England and earned an MA in Art History at Christie’s Education London via the University of Cambridge. She began her museum career at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, where she worked for four and half years. She then moved on to an inside sales position with the sports apparel manufacturer, Under Armour, in Baltimore, MD, all before starting a family while living in Silver Spring, MD.
She is excited to be back in museums and working with the PPHM collection. “I love the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum because it’s my history. This is where I’m from, this is where my parents and grandparents were born and raised, and it is where I am raising my family. I’m proud and honored to be a part of this institution and what it stands for."
In her free time, Emily loves to be with her family, garden, read, travel, go on long walks and practice yoga.
