Classroom Resources

Don't have the time or resources for a field trip? Let PPHM bring the museum to your classroom! We have classroom experiences to enhance any lesson including six outreach trunks loaded with touchable artifacts, photos and books. PPHM also offers interactive videoconferencing through Connect2Texas, so even if you are far away you can still learn about Panhandle History!

Classroom Experiences

Don't have the time or the money for a field trip to PPHM? Let us bring a lesson to your class. A trained interpreter will come to your classroom and give an hour-long lesson on the subject of your choice. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance and are a first come, first served basis.

Take Our Museum to Your Classroom

Educational trunks are loaded with touchable artifacts, photographs, books and a Teacher’s Guide.

Trunks are loaned out for 4 days on a first-call, first-served basis. Teachers are responsible for picking up the trunk before 5:00 pm on Friday and returning the trunks no later than 5:00 pm the following Thursday. The trunk is portable, fitting in most vehicles. The teacher who receives the trunk is responsible for pickup and return and the care of the trunk's contents.

The truck rental is $25.00 for 4 school days, and can be paid for on pick-up or return.
