CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OR VIDEO?
Video and still photography for individual use are permitted everywhere except in the art galleries. Seflie sticks are prohibited to protect our artifacts.
ARE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM?
No food or drinks are permitted inside PPHM. There is a designated vending space that you may consume purchased snacks in but not outside of that area. PPHM does not currently have a cafe but our staff would be glad to offer recommendations.
IS THE MUSEUM ACCESSIBLE?
All museum entrances are wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking is provided at the north entrance. Wheelchairs and strollers are provided free of charge. Accessible restrooms are located at the People of the Plains entrance, in the Harrington Gallery on the first floor and in the Petroleum Gallery on the second floor.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?

CAN I RENT THE MUSEUM?
We have many distinctive spaces specially suited for parties, weddings, receptions, dinners, meetings and conferences. Visit here for more information.
DOES THE MUSEUM HAVE A LIBRARY?
Our research center (3rd floor) is open to the public with museum admission during its scheduled hours. It houses historical records, photographs, manuscripts and maps documenting life in the Panhandle and Southwest region.
DOES THE MUSEUM ALLOW CONCEALED CARRY HANDGUNS?
No we do not according to Texas Penal Code 30.06 and 30.07.
