WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS AND WHEN DO THEY CHANGE?
We have hours that are different in the summer and the rest of the year. Summer hours begin on Memorial Day each year and last until Labor Day. For our complete hours, click here.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OR VIDEO?

Video and still photography for individual use are permitted everywhere, but please refrain from using flash. Seflie sticks are prohibited to protect our artifacts. Interested commercial photographers should contact Stephanie Price at sprice@pphm.wtamu.edu.

ARE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM?
No food or drinks are permitted inside PPHM. Guests can consume purchased snacks only inside our designated vending area. While PPHM does not currently have its own cafe, feel free to ask staff for recommendations in the area.

IS THE MUSEUM ACCESSIBLE?
All museum entrances are wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking is provided at the north entrance. Wheelchairs and strollers are provided free of charge. Accessible restrooms are located at the People of the Plains entrance, in the Harrington Gallery on the first floor, and in the Petroleum Gallery on the second floor.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?
PPHM members enjoy FREE admission, discounts on events, a yearly historical review, and much more. Purchase a membership today, and we’ll deduct your admission price from your membership fee (with receipt). Visit here for more information.

CAN I RENT THE MUSEUM?
We have many distinctive spaces specially suited for parties, weddings, receptions, dinners, meetings, and conferences. Visit here for more information.

DOES THE MUSEUM HAVE A LIBRARY?
Our research center (third floor) is currently open to WTAMU students, faculty and staff or by other request if possible. It houses historical records, photographs, manuscripts, and maps documenting life in the Panhandle and Southwest region. To learn more please call 806-651-2261

DOES THE MUSEUM ALLOW CONCEALED CARRY HANDGUNS?
The museum prohibits concealed carry handguns in accordance with
Texas Penal Code 30.06 and 30.07.
