Once numbered at an estimated 60 million, bison were hunted almost to extinction in the mid-1800s. Join us as we discuss the impact of the bison on the Plains Indians, the effects of the railroad and the people who rescued the bison from extinction. The program uses a PowerPoint, artifacts, a video and historic photographs to tell the story of this important American icon.
Times and dates are available to fit any schedule. The program lasts approximately 50 minutes. Please contact Elaina Cunningham at 806-651-2258 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a specific time and date.
