Join the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Panhandle PBS, and West Texas A&M University on the evening of September 13 for an exclusive exhibit opening and a preview screening of the newest Ken Burns film, “The American Buffalo.”
Attendees will have a chance to see the newest exhibition at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, “The Fall and Rise of an American Icon” chronicling this important story of the Great Plains - the interaction between bison and people.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will precede the film screening. A discussion with two of the film’s producers, Julie Dunfey and Julianna Brannum, and PPHM executive director, Dr. Andrew Hay, will follow.
The film is an exploration of the near demise and positive resurgence of the bison with a Native American perspective. The producers are only making eight stops around the United States to engage in person with audiences around the film, and we would be pleased to have you as part of this special opportunity.
