Carol Lovelady is a pioneer who traveled by train to visit Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum and eat her sack lunch in the basement with her fellow kindergarteners. It was then she fell in love with PPHM. Almost 55 years later, she is still in love with PPHM. That is why she accepted the offer to serve as Director. After serving on the board of directors for eight years and working on numerous committees, her appreciation for the museum’s collection and staff continues to grow. Carol brings to the position her skills in communication, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Baylor University and a master’s degree in advertising from Syracuse University. Carol’s desire is for PPHM to be a powerful magnet, attracting visitors, WTAMU students and faculty, researchers, and donors to grow in knowledge and understanding from our exceptional collection.
