About the Research Center

In order to evaluate access procedures that will insure the safety of researchers and staff, the PPHM Research Center will remain closed until further notice.

During this period, staff will strive to accommodate researchers by providing remote assistance via mail, email, or telephone. Contact the Research Center at wstricker@pphm.wtamu.edu or by calling 806-651-2254.

Please see www.panhandleplains.org for updates. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

The Research Center at PPHM is a library and archives filled with
sources on the life and culture of the Panhandle-Plains region. Books, periodicals, newspapers, maps, manuscript collections, trade literature, oral histories, and photographs document the environment and culture of the region, from its prehistory to the present. In addition to supporting the mission of the museum, the Research Center encourages the public to take advantage of the information found in these unique sources. The PPHM Research Center is located on the Museum’s third floor.
